The video It's A Damn Shame - Part 1 has made its way around the Internet as well as in many circles like MegaFest. It sheds light on the compromising positions many in hip hop are put in because of people like Russell and Joseph Simmons. Be sure to do what the video says at the end. Purchase the DVD "It's A Damn Shame"
Next up, two provocative docu-series from brother, M'Bwebe aja Ishangi on The Boule and Fraternities and Sororities. His video article, The Classified Origin of DC will open your eyes to more than your brain can contain. Why this video article is not taught in schools, churches, and summer camps is the question. Once you watch it, you will know exactly why.
Feel free to share your comments after you watch any of the videos and please support their work.

P.S. Lastly, also a good time to revisit Spike Lee's movie, "School Daze." It was relevant in 1988 and it is still relevant in 2011--only with more issues that we need to "WAKE UP" about. Please, read a book, do something to WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!
We've all heard the quote about broken clocks. It goes something like even a broken clock is right twice a day. I'd heard of Wendy Williams but had not listened to her controversial radio program during its heyday. Sometimes, my mother and I watch her TV show while we wait for the meatier late night programming of The Tavis Smiley Show to come on.
My mother found the book, The Wendy Williams Experience at one of her favorite thrift stores. She told me that she had bought it and so I read it. Very interesting stuff to say the least. What caught my attention was her interview with Damian World Hardy who spoke about the behind the scenes practices of the entertainment industry. The book has several transcripts of Wendy's interviews. I found the audio version on YouTube and though I'd share. Be of good cheer. Everyday we can learn something new from someone.
I'm often asked by many who visit this blog where to start in order to do one's own investigation? Since, it really is about the future, I would like to suggest the following:
I remember listening to a speech author Iyanla Vanzant gave where she emphasized the point to find out who God is for yourself. Those words ring true for me in this situation because often, faith is all that I have to rely on. Friends have left. Family has changed. It has definitely leveled the playing field so that it's very clear what side people choose to align themselves. There is darkness and there is light. My hope and prayer for you is that you choose wisely.
Psalm 112
King James Version (KJV)
112 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
One of the effects of being bullied is loss of concentration which can cause one to be easily distracted.
For me, my main focus has been on this situation, how to expose these bullies, and using a grassroots effort to do so since the laws protect the bully, when in this case the bully is a celebrity. It's been a challenge to focus on any thing else especially when the bullying happens daily.
On March 4, 2013, this was a tweet by bully an sociopath Russell Simmon, Uncle Rush on Twitter where he tweets about being distracted. I retweeted his tweet. He didn't like that. Wait for it. Retaliation by him forthcoming.
Now, prior to this I alerted Origin Magazine via Twitter, which is a publication that is featuring an interview with Russell Simmons, about Unclerush's bullying and sociopathic personalities. Apparently, he didn't like this sort of information getting out about his double life and so he retaliated by his tweets on 3/4 and 3/5/2013. On March 5th, I could not sign into my computer. No password combination would work. In addition to that, my phone had various app features deleted from it. Why? Another form of bullying and retaliation orchestrated by the bullies done by third party.
Shortly after the Superbowl, he was asked about the illuminati and his role in it, click here for his answer. The headline to the article reads,
"Russell Simmons: The Illuminati Is An Excuse Lazy People Use For Laziness!"
He describes himself as a hustler and anyone who doesn't work is lazy. Yet, while he continues to bully directly or indirectly from behind-the-scenes, he makes it difficult for his prey to work particulary while being bullied on the job. This keeps his prey imprisoned. Once again, his words continue to betray him.
As you might expect, there are threats made. Remember, this is a gang. So, heads up, should any thing and I do mean anything come up regarding me or any one of my family members safety or well being, start with the aforementioned, funnel the top up and down. Angels, you know what to do as well.
I often think of Paul Robeson. He was left hanging by some of his own. And, like Harry Belafonte so boldly stated in a recent acceptance speech about some of our very own in today's culture,
"For me Mr. Robeson was the sparrow. He was an artist who made those
of us in the arts understand the depth of that calling when he said,
artists are the gatekeepers of truth. We are the civilization’s radical
voice. Never in the history of black America has there ever been such a
harvest of truly gifted and powerfully celebrated artists. Yet, our
nation hungers for their radical song. In the field of sports, our
presence dominates. In the landscape of corporate power, we have more
African-American presence as captains and leaders of industry then we
have ever known.
Yet we suffer still from abject poverty and moral malnutrition."
From the white house to the pulpit to the ghetto streets and suburban neighborhoods, why is there such a strong silence for empowerment? Yet, the bumping sound of the bass for a denigrating rap lyric is so loud. Each scenario plays its own kind of bondage. A new level presents a new devil or so I've heard it described.
Is every thing about this world that many so often seek a gimmick? The eighth chapter of Mark, verses 34-36 and the tenth chapter, as well, verses 17-23 speak on it specifically.
What exactly are we chasing? What are we standing up for? What do we believe?
These very questions have existed since the beginning of time. Every generation gets its own privilege to answer them.
These are simply questions to cause us to think about things in a different way or to ask more questions about our world.
For starters, why does NBC' s Saturday Night Live continuously have a male figure dress up as a female? Haven't we seen this stereotype enough times?
Why is Katt Williams on a path of destruction and being taken down by the media?
Is he being taken down by some other gang or entity?
Is he following the same plight as DMX, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Biggie, Tupac, Brittney Spears, Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle (who didn't wear the dress and was labelled as crazy), Mariah Carey and many others?
What's the highest paid gang around? ANSWER: The gang of male celebritydom across all industries who are required to keep the rape secrets of the good old boy network.
If women have to sleep with a director to get a certain part in the business, what do men have to do who get parts too?
Why do celebrities die in amounts of the number three? Does it have smething to do with satanic worship, satanic ritual, or numerology?
Why are certain entertainers chosen to travel abroad to shine a light on overseas issues when many of the same issues exist in America?
Why are the Oscars in existence and when did what the actor was wearing become more important than the movie nominated?
By the way, there is an informative article on the history of Oscar and its beginnings here.
Why do we make celebrities minature gods and goddesses and then measure our lives against theirs? I mean from Reality TV, soap operas, dramas, movies, magazines all follow this pattern. Yet, it's a game the average person will never obtain or win because we are not celebrities.
Why do celebrities live secret lives?
Why do we watch Television? When did the TV enter the household? Why?
Why are certain celebrities who are in their prime not married and/or not out of the closet?
Why does Russell Simmons who is a bully and a sociopath jump on every current affairs band wagon to show his support while bullying and raping many of Hip Hop's rappers? Isn't that a conflict of interest and a crime?
Why are celebrity sociopaths and bullies in our culture given a free pass or go unnoticed? Is it their charm? Do we protect them? Do other celelbrities who are in the know and keeping their secrets protect them?
It is true that when you reach a certain tax bracket that the elite invite you to join the secret society?
Why are certain celebities forced down the public's throats to be accepted?
Why did a show like Friends thrive while a show like Living Single get cancelled?
Why are Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake being peddled as the modern day Frank Sinatra and Brat Pack?
Why did Beyonce and Jay-Z make a certain hand gesture in the hospital room while she was preparing to give birth? And, why did she make the same gesture during her Superbowl performance?
Can the AIDS virus be given as a vaccine?
How was Hollywood started?
Did your grandparents' generation lead or follow? If so, who did they lead or follow?
Did your parents' generation lead or follow? If so, who did they lead or follow?
Is your generation leading or following?
Who is afraid of another civil rights movement or another womens rights movement or a human rights movement? Why
Who's ready to start one?
Are the movies we're watching showing us something that's already happened or something that will happen in the future?
Ladies and Gents, we have a choice to turn media off or on, to change our thoughts, to have ideas and to act on them.
More of you are awake. More of you have a right to know.
Starting November 12th, Showtime will air a ten part series called The Untold Truth of the United States. This documentary is a collaboration between director Oliver Stone and historian Peter Kuznick. There is also an accompanying book of the same name which digs deepers into the film's content.
The two recently sat down for an interview with Tavis Smiley where they discussed some of the untold truths about American history.
In light of the recent election, I urge you to watch this series with your family or circle of friends and began a discussion on how we can transform our world. This country is at a crossroads. It's time for us to make a decision about the direction we want this country to go and how best it will reflect all of us who reside in it.
From the beginning, the African-American male has been a prized possession. In 2012, from the shores of Africa where minerals are located to the pump of black oil primed in the Gulf, the lives of African-American males are still prized commodities.
Did you know that during the time of Slavery according to Solomon Northrup that scars upon a slave’s back were considered evidence of a rebellious or
unruly spirit, and hurt his sale?
In 2012, in cities across America, the lives of African-American men are ending by bullets from guns and other firearms. The value of their lives still not taken seriously. It's happening in the music industry, too only the bullets are words, beefs, gear, record sales, record contracts, promotions, demotions, maturity, youth, money, drugs, religion, ego, pride, jealousy and even success. The plantations have changed. Unfortunately, some of the slaves haven't.
History has a very uncanny way of repeating itself. Sometimes, it does it very quietly and other times it's blatant and throws its hand up in your face. For many of you following this blog, you may recall an entry about Jam Master Jay posted here after reading the book, The Big Payback by Dan Charnas. So, to learn that another African-American male had died or was murdered in a scene that was all to reminscient of another African-American male's death of the same nature four years ago in a scene quite similar in setup was revealing.
The scars of slaves some still with us and those who have passed on are crying out from the grave for us to hear them. History's right here on this page. Read it well.
Historian John Wesley Blassingame wrote a book called The Slave Community. Although, much of the book focuses on the antebellum south, I encourage you to read it with the context of the world we live in presently and how it applies to various industries today which can also be considered as the new plantation. The book was mentioned in the movieAntwone Fisher. Perhaps, it sheds some light on where and how we have learned to treat each other so cruel regardless of race, content or character. Since when did an oath to the master override the oath to God, ourselves, each other and humanity? No doubt sounds like something satanic for sure.
How long
will this continue? How long will we allow it? How long will we tolerate
it? We say we're post racial a civilized society but the number of deaths of African-American men tells a different story. While all the swagger and material wealth in the industry won't bring them back, today I remember Shakir Stewart (who was 34 and whose circumstances surrounding his death though ruled a suicide mirrors that of Chris Lighty's). I remember Jam Master Jay. I remember Trayvon Martin. I remember Paul Robeson.
And, on the second day of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, September 5, 2012,
I remember Chris Lighty, a good man who positively left his mark on the Hip Hop industry, was buried.
Russell and Joseph Simmons are responsible for this man's death.
"Slavery is still alive and well in the music business."
Today starts a new feature for TCPS where I share with readers some of my favorite things. It can be anything from quotes, thoughts, gift ideas and the like.
The Adjustment Bureau is one of my favorite movies. How many of you have seen it? I especially love the ending and what is said about our choice of free will. Leave a comment and let me know if you've seen it what's your favorite part.
I love Whitney Houston and I am saddened by such a loss of a great human being. I'd be remiss if I didn't say something about a few comments that The Holy Spirit has jarred within me that were made at Whitney Houston's funeral.
First, Kevin Costner's words to the younger generation of girls who desire to follow in Whitney's footsteps.
"The only ones who sing your songs are young girls like you who are dreaming of being you some day, and so to you Bobbi Kristina and to all those young girls who are dreaming that dream are maybe thinking they aren't good enough I think Whitney would tell you guard your bodies and guard the precious miracle of your own life and then sing your hearts out knowing that there's a lady in heaven making God wonder how he created something so perfect.”
Second, Clive Davis' eulogy spoke numerously about his infamous bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel.
"Whitney came to his bungalow alone without bodyguards. He spoke of how Whitney ordered a hamburger and fries from room service as they listened to new music in their pajamas. He spoke of how she was no longer shy and introvertive. He spoke of how she now carried herself with assurance and articulation of her words."
It was the fact that he stated the bungalow at all during her funeral, no less that has not sat well with me at all. And, I wonder who else caught this and WHO called him out on it? Maybe with her new found assurance, she was tired and through with being forced to be on the receiving end of his advances? Maybe she just wanted to sing? Maybe she new that by rebelling against his advances, death was inevitable? TMZ reported that she was quoting scripture before her death. His referrals to that bungalow did not sit well with me and, I see, I wasn't alone. There were others on Twitter and Google who also felt the same. Some described his comments as creepy to say the least. What is also alarming is what isn't being reported in the media versus what is. Forbes magazine has two stories that are rather interesting about events the night before Whitney's death and people around her which have yet to be heard on TMZ. It would be very easy to believe mainstream media's version that she was drugged out which I hope that you aren't falling for on this one. I believe in The Holy Spirit and its jarring won't let me rest.
Both of their comments were similar yet profoundly different. They were almost like polar opposites with one being a form of advice and the other a slight admission. Both of their comments made me wonder what do female artists, all artists really, have to do in order to sing? There are many who just want to sing but have their talent exploited as well as their bodies in a disposable industry. Is a touch enough? Does a fondle suffice? Is being full blown raped the dealmaker? Yes, Clive's history goes way back. It includes one of my favorite singers, Phyllis Hyman. When TV One featured her story on their "Unsung" Program, I realized that Clive' s hand of working with divas goes way back. In fact, he states it in this clip with Piers Morgan. If you saw Phyllis' Unsung program, you too might agree that there is some reaping and sowing present here. Why be so bold to mention the bungalow so many times at her funeral? Why have the party go on when your protege is dead floors above you in the same hotel? Were his actions in good taste or respectful of the Houston family? Is Clive Davis The sociopath Next Door?
When CNN's Piers Morgan interviewed Clive and Jennifer Hudson, I didn't see the full interview but I did read the transcript. I've watched Jennifer Hudson's last three live TV performances and I've noticed a change and I don't mean her weight loss. Have you noticed something different, too? Now, that she's under his thumb, I will continue to observe the movements of her career trajectory and her relationship to him very closely.
I understand now the connection of music, celebrity, spiritual leaders and a bit more about the plot to create a new world made up of the elite. The elite are to be superhuman. They are required to keep a secret and perform among other things, live a dual life. At times, that dual life becomes more than a dual life. It's a full blast pandora's box. When an artist is being raped, is forbidden to say. even to family, and has to be "on", where can they release all of that? Perhaps, onstage or in their performance. What happens though in daily living? Perhaps now we can guess the reason for her drug usage. Put yourself in that position and consider the mental and spiritual warfare going on inside of a person. Accounts from those who spoke to Whitney on that sad day stated she seemed fine. We are all very well connected. This covers everyone from the pastor in the pulpit, producer on the hunt to the wives of those same pastors who keep the secret, too for the money, the fame, the worldwide acclaim. It's a drug and a lifestyle choice.
There has to come a change. We, The People, have to do something. If we don't do something, who will we read about next? It will take us as CONSUMERS along with the ARTISTS who are in bondage backed byJESUS CHRIST to make the change. Here's an idea: who's in for shutting down the music industry for 24 hours to start? No downloading or buying anything off of iTunes, no purchasing a CD or an app to get our point across. The point needs to be made that we won't tolerate this any more. The point that there are artists who simply want to sing, who long to do the right thing but are not allowed to because music in entertainment, in the church, in our lives and our world is big business. We have to do something. This affects all of us. Did Whitney Houston die because she no longer wanted to be exploited by a sociopath's advances? The kind of sociopath who could easily dispose of her and substitute (or prostitute) her brand for a newer, younger version?
Think about all of the self-help books that are spun off of some topic. In many ways, it's a subtle seduction, a massage, if you will. The book is seen everywhere. It's funneled through all of the proper channels to get us to buy in to the seduction. One example, remember the Chicken Soup for The Soul series? That cow was milked, burped and fed again. Then, a new cow created. Or the networks who bring back newer versions of old TV shows. Shows we grew up on like 90210, Hawaii 50, etc. Remember, this is a disposable industry. It's the same way with these artists only with a heavier price: their lives. And, it leads right back to the telling of what happened to me, to Angela Whitterson and the countless others who have no voice yet experienced the same.
As we all wait for the results of the toxicology report, there are many headlines in the news surrounding the death of Whitney Houston. Conspiracy theories and the like but there are two things stand out for me. First, she gave Brandy a note during an interview and second, she had a brief encounter with El DeBarge.Other artists have given us clues, imagery in their interviews, books, cd covers, song lyrics, videos and music. Kevin Costner stated it in his remarks as well. If an entity this large is capable of doing this to Whitney Houston and an American president, what will they do to you? Where is the outrage? Where are the spiritual leaders now who need to be courageous enough to lead? When do we start boycotting iTunes? Amazon? Perhaps the outrage will come later. Perhaps, we as citizens of the world will lead the revolution. It is certainly needed now.
Citizens of the world.
We've got to do something about our world.
WAKEUP: It's Time To Get Right with God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit.
