Little did I know that renowned author, Gloria Naylor experienced some of the same things that I had. Her book "1996" is one of the closest accounts to this nightmare. And being labelled with a mental illness is the cover that is used for anyone who has encountered this. It's a cop out.

Please read it and spread the word.

It sheds light on the compromising positions many in hip hop are put in because of people like Russell and Joseph Simmons. Be sure to do what the video says at the end. Next up, two provocative docu-series from brother, M'Bwebe aja Ishangi on The Boule   and Fraternities and Sororities. His video article, The Classified Origin of DC will open your eyes to more than your brain can contain.  Why this video article is not taught in schools, churches, and summer camps is the question. Once you watch it, you will know exactly why.

A Note to the BAITERs Among Us

    If the first three chapters of this book have read like your autobiography, if in reading it, you feel like I actually know you and am describing you, then I have some things to say especially to you.  First and foremost, life is about choices, and if you are a BAITER, if you spend your life jerking people around, it is because you’re choosing to do so. You’re not a victim, you’re not a “genetic prisoner,” and you’re not captive to your upbringing. If you can choose to do it, and you can, you can most certainly choose not to do it.  The biggest problem you face is that you have a distorted perception that what you’re doing is in fact working.  But, it isn’t working. It isn’t even almost working.

    You see, people who behave the way I have described in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 are generally thought to be suffering from some type of personality disorder.  That means they are mentally and emotionally ill, they are not thinking right, they are not feeling right, and they aren’t making sound decisions.  These people, including you, if the description fits, tend to be resistant to treatment because, as I have said, their misperception is that what they’re doing is actually working for them.  BAITERs are typically very immature, and immature people tend to seek immediate gratification without consideration for long-term implications.  You can sometimes get a short-term payoff if you get away with exploiting someone. So, in the moment, on an immediate basis, it can appear that what you’re doing is working. But if you step back and take the “long view,” you can see that, throughout your life, you have never built any relationships that are lasting, you never achieve anything that you are genuinely proud of, and you never have a sense of peace because you are always immersed in drama, conflict, and turmoil because people object to you exploiting them.  Another reason making a change is an uphill battle is that you are very likely so narcissistic that you really do think you’re smarter than everybody else and you think your current lifestyle of using, abusing, manipulating, and hurting people is in fact a “cool” or smart way to live and to get you what you want. But I’m betting you don’t have any real friends-how could you, because all you see are suckers and targets? I’m also betting that if you are honest, you admit to being lonely and oftentimes feel as though you’re one step ahead of getting found out and caught.  Sorry but my question is, “Who is the sucker here?” That is not what I would call a successful lifestyle.

    So, if I’m describing you and you want more, then decide that you’re going to make a change. Decide you’re going to earn what you have in this life instead of stealing it.  Decided you’re going to make a “to-do” list about developing such things as empathy and honesty and compassion.  And while you’re making that “to-do” list, let me suggest an item that should go right on the top. You need to figure out why you feel so bad about yourself that you think you can’t have any success in this life without stealing it, conning somebody out of it, or perpetrating a fraud to trick them into giving it to you. You see, if you had confidence in who you are and what you have to offer, then you would have confidence that good things could be created by you and enjoyed by you, because you are worthy a deserving of them. 

    Now, I know that even though you have read this note, you may still believe you are the smartest person in the world and you can completely blow it off, but I can assure you, now that you have read it, now that it’s in your brain, it may very well haunt you for the rest of your life until you do something about it. I say that because I am telling you now, unequivocally, that your life is empty and you have to look over your shoulder every day to be sure you’re not in some way held accountable by somebody you took advantage of.  You will get tired of that if you’re not already, and you will remember me saying you have a choice to do differently.  You have a choice to come off the shady side of the street and start walking in the sunlight. It takes guts, but the payoffs are huge. And, it’s not nearly as much work because you don’t have so much to remember. The truth doesn’t have versions, it just is.

    Make a choice right now to stop the manipulation, become transparent and earn mental health and well-being in your life by doing the things you need to do.  If you need professional help, get it. And here’s a great piece of advice, if I do say so myself.  Begin by telling your therapist the worst of the worst about you. If you’re a cheating, stealing, manipulative liar who exploits anybody you can get to, then tell your therapist.  Tell them you want nothing short of transparency because you realize that your tendency is to con them too.

    “Man Up.”  Do the right thing and give yourself a chance and the rest of us a rest because we are beyond tired of dealing with your crap.  I wish you the best of luck if and only if you commit to making the changes I hope you do. Take the high road, there’s a lot less traffic up there.

Required Reading

I caught Part One of Dr. Phil McGraw on Oprah discussing his latest book, Life Code: the New Rules for Winning in the Real World. 

I believe this book should be required reading for all human beings starting at age pre-teen because we are living in a new world and we do need some new rules for coping with it.

One of the rules Dr. Phil described was not giving someone the benefit of the doubt. That practice is basically a cop out.

This book, like another recommended read on this blog, The Sociopath Next Door, will have you looking at friends and family members with more clarity than you ever have.

I remember listening to a speech author Iyanla Vanzant gave where she emphasized the point to find out who God is for yourself. Those words ring true for me in this situation because often, faith is all that I have to rely on. Friends have left. Family has changed. It has definitely leveled the playing field so that it's very clear what side people choose to align themselves. There is darkness and there is light. My hope and prayer for you is that you choose wisely.

Bullying Continues

One of the effects of being bullied is loss of concentration which can cause one to be easily distracted.

For me, my main focus has been on this situation, how to expose these bullies, and using a grassroots effort to do so since the laws protect the bully, when in this case the bully is a celebrity. It's been a challenge to focus on any thing else especially when the bullying happens daily.

On March 4, 2013, this was a tweet by bully an sociopath Russell Simmon, Uncle Rush on Twitter where he tweets about being distracted. I retweeted his tweet. He didn't like that. Wait for it. Retaliation by him forthcoming.

Now, prior to this I alerted Origin Magazine via Twitter, which is a publication that is featuring an interview with Russell Simmons, about Unclerush's bullying and sociopathic personalities. Apparently, he didn't like this sort of information getting out about his double life and so he retaliated by his tweets on 3/4 and 3/5/2013.  On March 5th, I could not sign into my computer. No password combination would work. In addition to that, my phone had various app features deleted from it. Why? Another form of bullying and retaliation orchestrated by the bullies done by third party. 

Shortly after the Superbowl, he was asked about the illuminati and his role in it, click here for his answer.  The headline to the article reads,

"Russell Simmons: The Illuminati Is An Excuse Lazy People Use For Laziness!"

He describes himself as a hustler and anyone who doesn't work is lazy. Yet, while he continues to bully directly or indirectly from behind-the-scenes, he makes it difficult for his prey to work particulary while being bullied on the job. This keeps his prey imprisoned. Once again, his words continue to betray him.

As you might expect, there are threats made. Remember, this is a gang. So, heads up, should any thing and I do mean anything come up regarding me or any one of my family members safety or well being, start with the aforementioned, funnel the top up and down. Angels, you know what to do as well.

I often think of Paul Robeson. He was left hanging by some of his own. And, like Harry Belafonte so boldly stated in a recent acceptance speech about some of our very own in today's culture,

"For me Mr. Robeson was the sparrow. He was an artist who made those of us in the arts understand the depth of that calling when he said, artists are the gatekeepers of truth. We are the civilization’s radical voice. Never in the history of black America has there ever been such a harvest of truly gifted and powerfully celebrated artists. Yet, our nation hungers for their radical song. In the field of sports, our presence dominates. In the landscape of corporate power, we have more African-American presence as captains and leaders of industry then we have ever known.

            Yet we suffer still from abject poverty and moral malnutrition."

From the white house to the pulpit to the ghetto streets and suburban neighborhoods, why is there such a strong silence for empowerment? Yet, the bumping sound of the bass for a denigrating rap lyric is so loud. Each scenario plays its own kind of bondage. A new level presents a new devil or so I've heard it described.

Is every thing about this world that many so often seek a gimmick? The eighth chapter of Mark, verses 34-36 and the tenth chapter, as well, verses 17-23 speak on it specifically.

What exactly are we chasing? What are we standing up for? What do we believe?

These very questions have existed since the beginning of time. Every generation gets its own privilege to answer them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2013 Random Thoughts - First Take

 

These are simply questions to cause us to think about things in a different way or to ask more questions about our world. 

For starters, why does NBC' s Saturday Night Live continuously have a male figure dress up as a female? Haven't we seen this stereotype enough times?

Why is Katt Williams on a path of destruction and being taken down by the media?

Is he being taken down by some other gang or entity?

Is he following the same plight as DMX, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Biggie, Tupac, Brittney Spears, Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle (who didn't wear the dress and was labelled as crazy), Mariah Carey and many others?

What's the highest paid gang around? ANSWER:  The gang of male celebritydom across all industries who are required to keep the rape secrets of the good old boy network.

If women have to sleep with a director to get a certain part in the business, what do men have to do who get parts too?

Why do celebrities die in amounts of the number three? Does it have smething to do with satanic worship, satanic ritual, or numerology?

Why are certain entertainers chosen to travel abroad to shine a light on overseas issues when many of the same issues exist in America?

Why are the Oscars in existence and when did what the actor was wearing become more important than the movie nominated?

Why do we make celebrities minature gods and goddesses and then measure our lives against theirs? I mean from Reality TV, soap operas, dramas, movies, magazines all follow this pattern. Yet, it's a game the average person will never obtain or win because we are not celebrities.

Why do celebrities live secret lives?

Why do we watch Television? When did the TV enter the household? Why?

Why are certain celebrities who are in their prime not married and/or not out of the closet?

Why does Russell Simmons who is a bully and a sociopath jump on every current affairs band wagon to show his support while bullying and raping many of Hip Hop's rappers? Isn't that a conflict of interest and a crime?

Why are celebrity sociopaths and bullies in our culture given a free pass or go unnoticed? Is it their charm? Do we protect them? Do other celelbrities who are in the know and keeping their secrets protect them?

It is true that when you reach a certain tax bracket that the elite invite you to join the secret society?

Why are certain celebities forced down the public's throats to be accepted?

Why did a show like Friends thrive while a show like Living Single get cancelled?

Why are Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake being peddled as the modern day Frank Sinatra and Brat Pack?

Why did Beyonce and Jay-Z make a certain hand gesture in the hospital room while she was preparing to give birth?And, why did she make the same gesture during her Superbowl performance?

Can the AIDS virus be given as a vaccine?

How was Hollywood started?

Did your grandparents' generation lead or follow? If so, who did they lead or follow?

Did your parents' generation lead or follow? If so, who did they lead or follow?

Is your generation leading or following?

Who is afraid of another civil rights movement or another womens rights movement or a human rights movement? Why

Who's ready to start one?

Are the movies we're watching showing us something that's already happened or something that will happen in the future?

 

Ladies and Gents, we have a choice to turn media off or on, to change our thoughts, to have ideas and to act on them.

 

More of you are awake. More of you have a right to know.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Call Heard Around the World to WAKE UP

 

 

 

 

The Tribute

 

Earlier this week, I watched a tribute to comedian Eddie Murphy on the Spike TV network. It was an event where he was surrounded by many of his peers including Arsenio Hall, Keenan Ivory Wayans (who told the story of Eddie Murphy giving him a Rolex watch as a gift), Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence and Tyler Perry. Eddie’s brother, Charlie Murphy, gave a heartfelt tribute to him where he told stories about their childhood and what it was like growing up watching a comedic genius in action. Oh, how he wished he had only known that at the time.

Prior to the tribute, I watched an interview with Eddie Murphy on Inside the Actors Studio where they took a look back at his career and he got to answer questions from the student body. Both shows aired segments and bits from Eddie’s career. As I watched the bit from the 1983 comedy performance, Delirious, I listened intently to the material chosen for this concert in a way that I had not listened to before. Eddie did a bit describing the two male characters from The Honeymooners, Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton having sex with each other. Next, he did a bit on what Mr. T would sound like in the same predicament.

About a month earlier, I caught a late night airing of Jamie Foxx’s first HBO concert performance, Straight From the Foxxhole. Again, I listened intently to the chosen material of this performance. Jamie did a bit about the ratio of male homosexuality and he talked about AIDS. He got the audience in on shouting out two slogans throughout the course of the concert. The first was blow that s**t out and the second was words his elderly grandmother used to describe various things, people and situations which were anybody that ???? gotta have AIDS.

What was going on with each of these comedians during the time these concerts were released? What made them choose these topics to poke fun at and dissect? Was this a keenly skillful way for these comedians to use their art to retaliate with the powers that be who put them in these kinds of precarious positions in the first place?

On yesterday, I watched comedic genius Richard Pryor's review of his life in  the 1986 film, JoJo Dancer Your Life is Calling. It had been a long time since I’d last seen this movie. So, I watched it with new eyes. Richard wore a dress in this one. And, I recalled the line where he stated just before he set himself on fire where he said, "I just want my soul back." 

Recently, I watched Iyanla Fix My Life with life coach, Iyanla Vanzant, helping actress Maia Campbell on her journey of recovery and hearing Maia's  heartbreaking story after being on the hit TV show, In the House.  I read many of the tweets about this show because it brought up so many issues about mental illness and drugs. One tweet I found to be poignant was from Reagan Gomez Preston who played the daughter on the 1995 show, The Parent ' Hood, created by actor and director Robert Townsend. Here are her tweets:

The honesty of what she tweeted about the entertainment industry reminded me of what actress and singer, Tiffany Evans also spoke about on social media.

Likewise, Robert Townsend starred in the 2008 movie, Of Boys and Men, with actress Angela Bassett and Victoria Rowell. His character became a single parent after his wife was killed in an automobile accident. One of the sons in the movie had a childhood friend who was being raped by a male figure in his life.

Does it seem like I’m connecting dots here because I am not. The material surely is. This is not a game. However, the powers that are running the networks and the record companies want to play games with the lives of our children. Why is male rape so rampant in society yet treated like a small filthy secret and swept under the rug. Would you sweep it under the rug if it were your son or daughter being raped?

It’s time for us to wake up.

Another Interesting Watch

Starting November 12th, Showtime will air a ten part series called The Untold Truth of the United States. This documentary is a collaboration between director Oliver Stone and historian Peter Kuznick.There is also an accompanying book of the same name which digs deepers into the film's content.

The two recently sat down for an interview with Tavis Smiley where they discussed some of the untold truths about American history.

In light of the recent election, I urge you to watch this series with your family or circle of friends and began a discussion on how we can transform our world. This country is at a crossroads. It's time for us to make a decision about the direction we want this country to go and how best it will reflect all of us who reside in it.
